Relocating your personal surroundings, whether just down the street or accross the country--can be stressful. At Eureka we eliminate the stress by providing:

2. How do I prepare for Packing and Moving? In order to relocate your household, we need your help in preparing your home in advance so that there is a minimum of disruptions to your routine. The following is a list of things that you can do to help to make the move successful.
  • Empty all furniture and pack into the proper cartons, make sure the cartons are filled to the top.
  • On the day before the move, you should remove all personal pictures, calendars, pin-ups, and all other wall hangings, which you did not pack yourself, from the walls. Place them in a central location so that our professional packers can make sure they are properly packed before loading them onto the truck. Take all live plants in your own vehicle or remove them altogether. We just cannot guarantee that they will be moved safely.
  • It is a good idea to remove all sentimental/fragile items or make sure that they are packed into a carton safely.
  • 3. **How much will it cost?
    • How much your move will cost is determined by the weight of your shipment and the distance it must be transported plus any additional services you may require, such as packing, appliance service or special handling needs.
    • The price is based on the Household Goods Tariff. All interstate moving companies must adhere to the rates in the tariff, although some will offer some type of discount, based upon various criteria of your move. For example, large moves will likely receive a larger discount than smaller moves. And moves scheduled during peak periods (usually the end and beginning of the summer months) will not be as highly discounted as those, which occur during the off-season.
